Back to School!!!!

“ugh, back to school” as some of the youth at my church were saying. Some encouraged each other some just wined about it and some are just plane scared!

I remember as a youth going into middle school, then it was a 6th grader. I was so scared because it was new, I would loose my way or just plane be late to class and get in trouble! Rules Rules Rules, it was all about Rules! Little did I know that those “RUles” were going to help me as an adult to discipline myself. Yep, they actually helped! I am not late to work, (unless Mark makes me, oh was that a blame? haha) I also take my medicine as I am suppose to on time. So much more learned just from the Rules that we practiced let alone the classes we took and learned many things that has happened in history and so on. History class can actually help you at the movies! Math, well, I use it for making a few mileage checks for techs, balance the works deposits, measure rooms at home for remodeling, and the list goes on..

So, I am praying every student, teacher admin and others work together for the good of each other and bring about a great year for those growing and learning something new everyday. Even the new teachers are growing and learning this year!

Be blessed and favored by parents, teachers and leaders everywhere! Even english I have learned somthing new, But still have a problem with today ahhaha, spelling and gramer ugh!! haha

Keep on keeping on for Christ and be the person you were created to be in Christ! Wow, if everyone became that, what a world that would be!

My Love story! ♥
Once up on a time… I was captured, unsaved and sentenced to death. I tried to escape that dreadful stage that I was in. Doing anything I could to fill the void and aloneness I felt. Nothing and no one in this world could save me. Suddenly, One day… I met this man. He wasn’t a knight or a handsome prince who came to rescue me so we could ride into the sunset. He came to do more then that…. He came to give me eternal life, fill my void and wash me white as snow! He said, “Daughter you are free!” Blinded by grief and pain I laughed and said, “What I’ve done can’t be undone, can’t be forgiven!! I must die!” “Wrong!!”he cried. I took your place, I died for you on Calvary. You just have to let me in! With tears running down my face, I said,”I’m simply a filthy wretch, I don’t deserve such love…… ” With his gentle hands he wiped away my tears and said, “You were made for love, Who that I set free is free indeed. By my wounds you are healed.” Overwhelmed by such love and peace…I didn’t want him to go. I fell in Love. He said I will never live you or forsake you. I am preparing a place for you and coming back soon. Now go tell the World….. 🙂

the life book

Posted: February 20, 2014 by impactym2000 in Uncategorized

We received  “the life book” at our church this past Sunday. We handed out 1000 books in one week to the members of our church young and old. These books have been placed in students hands, set in offices, set in restaurants and more. To imagine that 1000 people will be reading these books and praying that lives will be changed is an awesome thought.

If your church or youth group would like to be a part of this huge hand out of Gods word made simple so others can understand and come to know Christ, you would need to go to . You must be a pastor or youth pastor and I believe teacher? in order to have these come to you.

We have a church with 300 or more and we ordered 1000. They were all gone with most taking only 10 or so each.

This book offers them the truth and the way to acceptance to Christ. I love it for youth but if you know someone in the family that don’t know Christ and have never read the bible, this is the book for them. Gets them interested in wanting to read more of the Bible I would say.

Encourage and life someone up today! It’s all about Jesus, not our self and our own wants or desires. When we put Him first, He places us where He wants us. 100% to God, there is no Grey area. It’s either for Him or against him. Only giving Him part of your life is wrong too. Give Him all of your life. You will be rewarded for this, greater than you could even imagine.

James 3:17, 18 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, them peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Don’t Just Watch the Game—Play It!

By Jim Liebelt

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is not longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

Matthew 5:13

Years ago, I used to be a football coach at a public high school. One year, a guy turned out for the team. He was small, not very athletic and had no previous experience playing football. At practice, this young man would routinely get the stuffing knocked out of him by the bigger guys on the team. I thought this kid would ultimately tire from the beating his body was taking on the field and quit. I was wrong. This kid faithfully showed up for practice every day.

During our first game of the season, I called this guy over to me and told him that I wanted him to go into the game. His response surprised me. “I don’t want to play, coach.” I thought he was afraid of getting hurt in a real game, so I didn’t press the issue.

After the game I had a talk with him. “Look,” I said, “a game is really no different than practice. There’s no greater chance of getting hurt during a game than in practice.” His reply this time shocked me: “No coach, you don’t understand. I’m not afraid to get hurt. I just don’t want to play. The reason I’m on the team is so I can wear the game jersey and be seen on the sidelines. You know, girls love football players.” Unfortunately, this kid had an incredibly distorted view of what playing football was all about! The value and significance of the game isn’t being seen on the sideline, but in playing.

I wonder, how many people have a similar attitude about living the Christian life? I’ve encountered many Christians over the years that are more observers than participants. Perhaps what G. K. Chesterton said is right on the money, “Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried.”

Jesus said that salt that has lost its saltiness is useless. Living the Christian life on the sidelines is like being un-salty salt. True satisfaction in living the Christian life comes from “playing the game” not from observing. The value comes from living out your faith everyday where you live and work. It’s about being salty. It’s about being a light in a dark world.

Today, get in the game!

Comment on today's devotional Listen to Broadcast Send to a friend

1. In your Christian life experience, have you been more “on the sidelines” or more “in the game”?

2. What actions can you take today to move from the sidelines into the game?

2014 wow!

Nope, can’t believe it’s 2014!
So what resolution did you start?
Me, well, keep on keepin on with the slow weight loss and eating habits changed. Good luck on yours!
Been reading up on a devotion in my you version bible app called “upmost for his highest” awesome devotion and I keep reading it over and over. Good scripture and everyone should read the devotion part of the thing.
Here is one I like:
Are You Fresh For Everything?

Sometimes we are fresh and eager to attend a prayer meeting, but do we feel that same freshness for such mundane tasks as polishing shoes? Being born again by the Spirit is an unmistakable work of God, as mysterious as the wind, and as surprising as God Himself. We don’t know where it begins—it is hidden away in the depths of our soul. Being born again from above is an enduring, perpetual, and eternal beginning. It provides a freshness all the time in thinking, talking, and living—a continual surprise of the life of God. Staleness is an indication that something in our lives is out of step with God. We say to ourselves, “I have to do this thing or it will never get done.” That is the first sign of staleness. Do we feel fresh this very moment or are we stale, frantically searching our minds for something to do? Freshness is not the result of obedience; it comes from the Holy Spirit. Obedience keeps us “in the light as He is in the light . . .” (1 John 1:7).

Jealously guard your relationship with God. Jesus prayed “that they may be one just as We are one”—with nothing in between (John 17:22). Keep your whole life continually open to Jesus Christ. Don’t pretend to be open with Him. Are you drawing your life from any source other than God Himself? If you are depending on something else as your source of freshness and strength, you will not realize when His power is gone.

Being born of the Spirit means much more than we usually think. It gives us new vision and keeps us absolutely fresh for everything through the never-ending supply of the life of God.

O Lord, breathe on me till I am one with You in the temper of my mind and heart and disposition. Unto You do I turn. Again, how completely I realize my lostness without You!

I pray that I grow stronger and wiser in my walk with God this year as I do try to every year.
May you find your walk with Christ this year different from last year and you grow daily in Him so His light shines through you.
